About Elisa Jacobo

Playing sports my whole life, numerous coaches, opposing players, and my own reckless competitiveness have all contributed to pushing my body to the limit and then some!

I played Division II Women’s Soccer throughout college, ran cross-country and even tried my hands at some competitive amateur boxing. The sports took a toll on my body, and I experienced both the upside and downside of training intensely. They made recovery and rehab a must, and inspired me to help others experience the same mental and physical benefits of working out, minus all the unnecessary injuries.

In 2001, I became a certified personal trainer receiving my first CPT (Certified Personal Trainer) certification through N.A.S.M (National Academy of Sports Medicine). The fun didn’t stop there. After receiving a B.A. in Psychology and a B.A. in Art from Adams State College, I went on to accumulate the Cooper CPT certification in Biomechanics, the N.A.S.M CES certification (Corrective Exercise Specialist) and N.A.S.M- PES certification (Performance Exercise Specialist) and TRX Certified.

Life takes us through a series of changes that may distract us from being committed to what is really important. We all have our priorities, but our own health should always be our number one priority. I define commitment as persistence with purpose (PWP). This is the most important factor in reaching any goal, inside or outside of the gym. Whether you are a former college athlete, recovering from an injury, or training to support a healthy pregnancy like I have, I will support you in your commitment to achieving a better self. PWP training is what each client receives from me, and is what I expect in return. Through custom resistance training programs, cardio regimens, supplement recommendation, and nutritional guidance you will reach your goal and overcome any plateau keeping you from knowing how strong you really are.
